Care of Acans

Can someone tell me what the perfect conditions for Acans are.
High/Soft flow, temp, etc.
What makes them thrive. Anything to concern myself with ?
Is there a book or reference material that you may know of where I could read up on them ?

medium to high light, medium to strong flow..depends on what lighting you have..under 250w 10k MH..place them mid-way in the tank..any less place them higher, any more, lower.
