I went through my old pictures and I was suprise how much change in the color of some of my colonies. Actually if I put the 12k reeflux in it will look like the 20k radium

how come the 20k looks green but 10k looks purple? if that's the true color, i like the purple look instead of green for sure.

it change to purple the actual coral not just the picture. I have another piece which is dark purple in the 20k radium and now it's more to the light purple with the 10k reeflux. I also notice the green polyp change to light purple now also.

Before with 20 radium

now with 10k reeflux

very nice, i liken the 10k reeflux better. How about your other corals do they show sign of change? or are these 2 colonies the only ones?

the blue will be more blue and most green turn toward blueish or purpleish color. Pink stay the same. I think with the 10k reeflux the color shift toward purple and blue. Some didn't change the whole coral but the upper tip start changing slowly to blue.

Do you like it better than your other 20k? Thats all that really matters. I just bought a 250 watt XM 10k for a frag tank im starting and have some pieces in my main tank under 150 watts that i think will have color change FOR SURE. Hope everything else gets better color over time.

I do like the growth and the color change of the 10k reeflux. Some say the 10k reeflux have low par but you gain the intensity compare to the 20k radium so the growth is still there. 10k xm will give you alot of growth the only question is what color is it going to provide for you.

Color in the coral or color in White with blue tint, (bulb color or coral color), i want growth and nice coral color. I guess what color the bulb is will give the coral a better different look, but i want growth and coral color. Yellow light i dont mind. its a frag tank light

I never run a 10k xm so I could not tell you the color change of the coral will go toward more blue or green/yellow. But with different color light bulb your coral color will shift to certain color. Let me know if you see some change in color of your coral. I'm guessing it will go more to red/greenish

10k fast growth
20k more colorfull for the eyes

take a neon green piece of coral and see the major difference the the color. 10k tends to make things look bleach, 20k tends to give false color

I understand. What about with Actinic supplement? Will i get the 20k coral color but 10k growth? I have a 250 watt XM 10k bulb going over a frag tank im planning and was thinking if i should add some actinics just to brighten up the corals... wasnt sure though.
