algea

I have a 20g tall that i started not too much livestock in it yet. I just got a protein skimmer and hopefully that will keep the red and green algea from growing so much but will it take care of whats already all over the rock and sand?

thanks for the help

salutations m3nac3 and good morning to ya', the protein skimmer will help minimize it only. although you will need to purchase a cleanup crew, snail's, algae blenny, various other critters too. be sure to do frequent water changes to help slow the algae down also and lots of flow/current helps get rid of it also as algae does not like high flow water, hope this help's...
