Need advice on Leather coral
Hi
Need a bit of advice on this coral, it has been in the tank for 2 weeks and is not opening up, it is placed low in the tank but is in a good flow area, it also appears to have green patches on it and is letting off a slime coat. Is it me being paranoid or is it ok. Any help is much appreicated (it's my first coral) I believe it is a Lobophytum sp. Barry |

It's probably just shedding if there are not any areas of tissue that are breaking down.
Devils hands do seem to like a little more light than many leathers, so it may not hurt to move it up a bit in the tank. |

I would touch it and see if its still firm. I had one a few weeks back that looked the same. When I went to move it he broke apart and turned to mush. Also had a really bad smell to him.
