Leptastrea - growing in strange places...
Ok so a frag I got a while back kept getting bumped around, glued it to a rock, it got knocked off, stuck in on the ground it was pushed dangerously close to my acan lords. So I decided to glue it directly to the bottom of the acrylic, I mean who cares if it stays there right? Not really thinking about what it would do, this was a "temporary" place to put it.
Well I forgot about it, and while doing a water change trying to suck the detritus around it and like there was some stuff that just wasn't coming up... it wasn't until I looked from the top down that I saw why... it wasn't detritus! It was the coral! Right onto the acrylic, now I've seen this with some sps but didn't expect an LPS type of coral to do the same... oh well guess the location isn't so temporary. I didn't get all the detritus btw ![]() ![]()

My favorite lps as well! I can completely empathize with mounting them. Easier said than done sometimes due to there slow growth. Nice piece, looks like its just truckin along
