I use one maxijet 900 with a sureflo mod on my 30g frag tank. Lots of flow but I'm thinking about adding another one.

See if your return pump alone can provide adequate circulation flow. Then determine if you need additional flow. If the return pump can provide a circular (gyre) flow with live rock in the center, my guess is that the flow will be adequate.
The guideline is a 10 x volume (10 x 30 = 300 gph) for circulation. I personally like using the Maxi-Jet model 400 to 1200 powerheads because they can be back-mounted or side-mounted without clumsy swivels to the glass using a Sure Grip 50 magnet. |

For $35'ish you can put a Koralia 1 in there that will give a nice wide flow pattern. They are easy to mount, easy to aim. Coupled with your return flow, you should be good to go.

Thanks, the return pump was 317gph, regarding to the retrun line, there are the three 90 degree elbows, but the Eheim 1250 has a really good reputation on head pressure loss. so I assume my return flow are close to 300 gph.
But How do I know there is a circular flow or not? and, gastone what is the sureflo mod, could you please give me link or a picture? |

A couple Koralia 1s should do the trick.

i would add a tunze nanostream 6025 or a 6055 if you dont mind spending the dough.
I have a 30 cube with an eheim 1250 return pump and the eheim is just the right size.
