Can different color milliporas touch

I have a green/cream, a blue, and a red and I am thinking of having them grow near each other. Will they overgrow or kill each other if allowed to touch?

Thanks, Scott

I don't have a yes/no answer but I think this article might be helpful:
http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/20...nftt/index.php

The reason I suggested it:
"Corals of the same species often fuse their tissue and grow into one larger colony. Sometimes two closely-related corals grow right next to each other and meet up. They remain separated, however, but because they are so closely related they do not kill each other. "

This picture is borrowed from frags.org so they may have some issues with me using it. This actually a picture of Viper_930s coral on there.

Yeah it a coral on frag farmer i believe. Its a purple acro that had a green pocillopora fell on it and both being weak corals the green leached into the purple one.So now the simplex is purple with a green tie dye look.

I have an ORA Blue Millie and Rose Millie on a large rock that have fused a branch together. It is very beautiful. Tommorrow when the lights come on, I'll snap a shot and post it!

Something tells me we are about to enter an era of experimental crossing of different corals.

I have different milles touching. The one that grows faster just starts to grow over the other. Doesn't kill it per se the way it would a different acro, but does grow over it.

OK, I will just expect the faster grower to overgrow the other, just like what I have seen with digitata and capricornus.
