so, i have a pretty basic question. i know, before i get virtually yelled at, that athias are suppose to be in 125+ gallon tanks, but i was just looing on liveaquaria.com and they said in the despar anthia profile, that if house singly, 25gallons is sufficent. my question is can a athia be housed happily in a aquacube? i know it COULD be seeing as its only a 3-4 inch fish, but would it be humain?

i personally wouldn't as not only is the aquariums size small, but anthias are also not the easiest fish to keep

I think 25g is a bit small, but you could check Scott Michael's books for his recommendations. LiveAquaria.com is a bit optimistic, sometimes, I think.

I agree with Jonathan, Anthias are sometime tricky to keep & they can get large as well. Not recomended in a 25 gallon, sorry..:

Anthias pretty much need to be fed like 3-4 times a day to maintain health/color.
So I don't see it like adding another fish of the same size.

I only feed my anthias 1 per day... and have them healthy and colorful for over 4 months now.. pinks spot anthias..

you need at least 75 or bigger.. I keep 3 in my 100 gallon. there very boistorous swimmers.. like to dart in and out of the rocks and chase each other around.

I feed mine only once a day but during that time I feed em as much as they can take and not having food scater in the tank.
