Honestly, I'd have to e-mail you a couple word documents that I collected some of my favorite quotes on during college and afterwards. I've got some really good ones....if I can find the folder on the harddrive. But here's one that has always been a favorite for "parting company" with someone. You may be right since this song, like many others is a collaboration of the two. Hunter is usually associated with the lyrics. If I am wrong, so be it. It is still one of my favorite tunes and one that holds fond memories from several shows. VM

Robert hunter wrote many many of our favorite lyrics. I got to see him at the grateful deads family reunion. (wisconsin.. 05 i think)

I wouldn't doubt at all if DMB had quoted it from one or more of Robert Hunter's songs. Their styles can be similar (to a degree) and they tend to draw the same sort of crowds and fans. Regardless, it's a cool line.
