Clownfish with new black spots (dots)
I have had my clownfish 'Crusty' for a little under a year now. I noticed recently that the he has been developing little black spots sporatically on his body. Is this something that i should be worried about???It doesn't seem to be acting all that different. Thanks-Dave

What kind of clownfish is it? Does Crusty ever rub on rocks?

ok...from this picture you can kind of see the spots on his anal fin as well as the pelvic. Also there are alot more erratic spots on the underside of his belly. He seems to be doing fine and doesn't really appear to be acting strange at all!! |

Its normal you have an Occelaris clown by the way he is probally hosting your zoas or something else in your tank. I forgot what it is called but it will go away once he is used to his host from stinging him.

Yes, you have an Ocellaris clown, not a Clarkii. Like I asked earlier, does it host anything alive?
