Angel question

I have had a Potter's angel for over 2 years now. I currently have a full size goldflake angel in QT right now and I plan to introduce him to the display tank this friday. I would also like to get a Regal Angel. The question is...should I get the regal angel now and put the regal and the goldflake angel in the display at the same time or should I put the regal in a few weeks after the goldflake? Also, are pygmy angel and full size angels known to fight or are they generally peaceful with each other?

I have not seen any of my pygmy angels fighting with any of my large angels, so I don't think that you will have a problem there.

My only concern about the Regal Angel is the eating. Not all of them take to eating prepared foods, or at least not as easily as some of the other large angels.

If you don't have too many other fish, i.e. boss fish, then I would think that you can go either way (both together or one after the other).

Good luck and let's see some pics.

Goldflakes can get pretty big and since yours sounds like an adult I would consider not adding a regal and the reason being is you already have a potters angel in the tank and if you add the goldflake and then a regal you will have three fish that are natural grazers that do better when they are allowed to pick algae and other small inverts from the rock. I can see territorial disputes as these fish compete for food.

I would also recommend adding the regal first because they generally do better when they have a chance to settle into a tank without other more active fish intimidating them. I rarely see regals out compete other fish for food and territory in a tank so they should be given a few weeks to get comfortable and then you can add the goldflake.
