OT - Favorite Beer of SoCal Reefers?

So what is everyone's favorite beer? As you know, summer in SoCal is in full swing and right now I'm chugging a glass of Pyramid HefeWeizen as I read RC.. nice cold, smooth wheat flavoured beer, tons of head with a hint of fruit. I give it an 8 out of 10.

Here's my top 3:

#3 - Pyramid Hefeweizen

#2 - Anchor Steam

#1 - Franziskaner Hefeweisse

Honorable mention - A Lambic Framboise.

what's yours??

Lighter beers: Leffe, Delirium Tremens, La Fin du Monde

Darker beers: Schneider Aventinus, Val Dieu Winter, Speedway Stout

Can't ever complain about a Chimay or Duvel, either.

XTM, I see you're a Hefe fan. Have you tried the Weihenstephaner. Ayinger and Paulner also makes good Hefe's.

This week I've had 2 bombers of Stone's 07.07.07. Great stuff.

I've also been enjoying Avery's Majaraha Double IPA.

Weihenstephaner is VERY good stuff.. definitely one of my favorite - particularly the Kristall Weisbier. This is basically a filtered Hefe with a strong bread taste.

You like Pale Ale? I have only tried Sierra Nevada and Mirror Pond and for some reason I couldn't drink them. I'd like to try a Majaraha sometime..

Has anyone tried an Arrogant Bastard? It has 8.0 ABV but imo tastes flat. No dimension to it. You want something strong but tasty, try Duvel.. it's 8.5 ABV.

Hmmmm....most beer drinkers would say Arrogant Bastard has way too much dimension, its is so rich with a good amount of hops. Its like drinking liquid molases. I have bottles of the Oaked AB and Double Bastard in my cellar.

I like Duvel, but honestly, I am not much a fan of the Belgium Pale Ale category. I much prefer Belgium Trippels and Quadrupels, like St Bernardus 12 and Trappist Rochefort 10. Actually, Three Philosophers make a pretty good quadrupel also.

As you can see, I like the crazy strong stuff. But there's stuff with low alcohol that I love. Like Sierra Nevada Pale ale and Victory's Golden Monkey are low alcohol beers that is loaded with flavor.
