Anyone ever tried this pics attached

I am setting up my first tank. It is a 90 gallon RR. I want fish/corals. I like the bio wheel because of the way it takes care of ammonia, but dislike it for the nitrates it creates. Would adding a 10 gallon fuge before it help. I guess I would drill a 1" hole in the side of the 10 gallon fuge and plumb it into the tidepool.What do you guys think of the setup. ANY help is appreciated I am a complete newbie at this. I have read a TON and think this idea sounds great on paper.

Sorry the picture is so small its stupid. I had to shrink it to get it under 50k Uggg it took me like an hour to draw I hate computers. I willll work on getting a bigger one on here
