Placement of leather corals
Please advise me on the placement of leather corals in reference to being placed next to other leathers. I know there must be distance between corals and leathers. Does there have to be a distance between leathers and leathers? I have a ledge that is about 8-10" with a leather off to the side of this ledge. The head of the leather is about 4-5" when fully open. If another leather on the same ledge is not possible, please advise me on how to detach the present leather-I believe it is a mushroom leather-as it has attached to rock about an inch up the stalk. The stalk is unstably attached to rubble rock at the bottom of the stalk. I would like to move this leather to the middle of the ledge. Thank you for your advice.
Here is the leather and the ledge. The leather is still mad because I tried to move it. ![]() |

If they are the same species it should be ok, if not your mileage may very. Good water flow helps, but some leathers and soft corals arfe more agressive than others.

Thank you very much. I'll keep my eyes out for another good looking one.
