Oceanic 120... Reef Ready vs Tech

Based on the literature I picked up at the LFS and Oceanic's website, it looks like the over flow box design of Oceanic's Tech-series is different from the Megaflow used on the Reef Ready-series.

I'm interested in the 120-gallon size... Does the 120 Tech have one or two overflows? Does the Megaflow accessory kit (drain and return) work with the Tech-series overflows?

To my knowledge i dont think the megaflow works with the tech-tank based on the dimensions/size of the different overflow structures, one is more rounded off which is the megaflow and the tech series overflow is more squared off, hope this helps...

Thanks, Chaotic Reefer4u. I guess I'll have to find a store that has a Tech in stock and ask them if there is a kit available similar to the kit for the Megaflows...

Best Regards,

tech has starfire glass and euro bracing, those are the reasons to go that route.

I thought the Reef Ready has Starphire as well??? According to the Oceanic website (recently revamped), the Reef Ready systems are available in Bowfront, Half Circle, and Ultimate... and the Ultimates are described as having Starphire.

I do like the Eurobracing, though... it's the main reason I'm interested in the Tech series.
