clam

I have had a tridacnid clam for about 2 years now and all of a sudden it is closed up and. It responds when I try to open it it closes with some force but just doesn't look right for a couple of days. Does anyone have some advise.

Have you added any livestock or rock lately? If yes, check for parasitic snails on the clam called pyram snails. They are tiny predatory snails that can cause this.

Also read this article. It may help you narrow down the issue if you do actually have one.
