Turbo Snails reproduction

It appears that turbo snails have reproduced in my tank. I have quite a few baby snails going around my tank. I was under the impression that they do not normally reproduce in a tank.
Does anyone know if this causes a major biological imbalance? I'm assuming it does, but has anyone experienced this and what to do to prevent being over runned by these little guys?

Thanks,
Dave

Well, assuming that those are actually turbos and not hitchhikers (and it is possible for turbos to reproduce, at least when the aquarist is actively trying to breed more), they'll reach an appropriate level on their own. If there isn't enough food they'll either stay small or starve. If they're not starving, then you can assume there's enough for them to scavenge and they're doing you a favor I have a quite a few tiny little snails around my tank that I think might be nassarius, but I think it would be really difficult to be overrun by snails. Never heard of anyone having problems with overabundant snails.

Can you post some pics of your breeding snails?

Here's the pics of the babies. I don't who the parents are, but the other snails in my tank look like these little ones...and these are tiny compared to the others I have.

I started out with 2 trochus snails about 6 months ago and now have approx. 20-30 and am constantly finding new babies in my sump of all places. I then take them out and put them in the display. They then grow really quickly. Also, when I look at my skimmer body, I see little trochus "fetuses". Is this normal?

Trochus reproducing in tanks is fairly common, so that is normal. I'm not sure what you mean by Trochus "fetuses". Do you have a picture?

Its basically a white circle. I assume it is the beginnings of a baby trochus because I will also find litte trochus snails with shells inside the skimmer body. I will try to get a picture this weekend.
