LPS and SPS - Bare bottom or not?

I am in the process of planning my 75g and seem to be at a crossroad. The tank will have predominately LPS with some SPS and perhaps softies in it. I like the thoughtof the bare bottom since I can have lots of flow and easy to keep detritus cleaned out. But I have heard that LPS and softies do not do well in bare bottom. My lighting is a TEK 6x54 fixture, so I don't believe I can be SPS dominant. The sump is a 30g with a LG 4-MDQX-SC return pump. I will also have a Sequence Dart for the CL. So should I go BB or not? I haven't drilled the tank yet, so I can layout the CL anyway needed if that makes any difference.

Thanks!
