Soda in tank

A friends child poured soda in their tank which caused it to crash. Tested amonia with API test kit which came out BLUE. Any ideas or suggestions of what they should do ? Is the rock still good ? Many questions, never heard of this happening or the results to what will happen. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thank you both for the quick reply. I was figuring a 50 percent water change but just aint sure of the effects of soda.
