Smile My "Its over" thread....

Well, yesterday I thought I was going to have to post how I'm retarded and nuked my tank. I was pretty upset and thought It was the end for me.

My tank has an ATO that runs directly from the RO/DI unit and through a Kalk reactor before topping the sump off. Ive been told by some that what I am doing is "ballsy" so to speak. Well yesterday I was making RO water for a friend so I took the ATO off line to fill a trash can with RO. I let it run all day and when I got back to my office at like 5pm I checked the sump to see how much water had evaporated. Id say less than a gallon evaporated. No big deal. I switched the lines to start adding RO to the tank and thats where the problem comes in. My kalk reactor was mixing at the time and dumped a ton of kalk in the tank through the ATO. The tank was white. At first I didnt know what was happening and had to think about it. But it was too late. The damage was done and I had read a ton of stories about people over dosing kalk. The only thing I could do was use the RO water I had made earlier to make NSW. The problem was it was the water needed to be heated and it takes forever to mix the salt in. I put three heaters in the tank and mixed it up with a big pump. I stopped the tank and drained the sump. By that time the water was still cold but I said f-it... I'm putting it in.
I left the office feeling like I didnt do enough.
I came to check on the tank today and was reluctant to go into my office. After hanging out for like 5 minutes I went in.........

And BAM......... Its never looked better! Man am I one lucky dude.

I haven't check any parameters. I like to just eyeball things.

These are some pics I took when I thought it was all over.
