This is some of the best content I've seen in six pages. Beautiful set-up crazy. Was it tough to get the rockwork in your tank once it was assembled? Oh wait, you went rimless. Attention to detail... Seriously though, I hope my tank comes out as well as yours.

Thanks,
Paul

Crazy4acros, awesome job and truly unique appearence. I am interested in the tank itself (no offense). Who is the manufacturer, where did you get it, and if you don't mind, how $$$?

Definitely love your set up! Thats one of the best aquascaping jobs I've ever seen! So, you don't have a refugium or atinic lighting correct?

Sorry i haven't been posting any updates, I kinda wanted to wait until everything grows out before placing any update pics. But in the meantime i hated seeing the frag rack i placed on the back wall of the main display, it just ruined the whole natural open look. So i decided to build a little inline frag tank for under the stand. I am still contemplating wether or not to cut a viewing hole for it, Im leaning towards it being hidden and not distract attention from the main display. The frag tank is lit with 2x T5's.
What do you think?

Just thought i'd snap a few........

ssavader, i think your answer got lost on page 3 hahahha it's a LeeMar tank, i ordered though a local supplier (LFS).

hatfielj, Correct no refugium or atinic lighting, but i guess i can turn the little frag tank into a ref if i wanted to.

crazy4acros, what bulb and ballast are you using? The Lumenarc has great spread from the look of your photos. Is it Mogul or DE?

That answer got lost in page 5 hahahaha. I am using a SE 400w 20k Radium bulb on a PFO HQI ballast.

As everyone has said this is really a beautiful tank. I am sure that many are rethinking a few things.

I asked this before but believe that it got lost a few pages ago.
How much water do you think your rock has displaced? I think this provides a better idea of the amount rather than number of pounds since rock densities vary so much. Thanks.

crazy4acros, how often do you replace the bulbs? Do they wear out faster than most other halides?

KafudaFish, Sorry I have no idea how much water has been displaced. All the rest of the rock that i took out is sitting in my sump, but if i do decide to get rid of it then i'll measure how much gallons i backfilled with.

Rickyrooz1, Because the ballast overdrives the bulbs, they wear out faster and get replaced about every 6-8 months. After this bulb wears out i will probably experiment with the Reeflux 12k bulb.

Nice frag tank! Definitely don't create that viewing window, it would detract from the main display, especially since the background is a different color from the main.

No problem, glad to be of service. How does your Sohal do in that tank? Any problems with aggression?

so far so good he has been quite passive with the others, but I know in time I must find him a new home where he can swim his heart out. I'd hate to see him go but he will get too big for my tank.

I'm glad to hear you are planning on being fair to that fish. When I first saw him in there I worried, but it sounds like you are a responsible reefer, so it looks like he's a lucky fish!

I'm so jealous, your frag tank loks nicer than my display tank. What size is that frag tank?
