Could be a species of Sinularia or of Nephthea- really almost impossible to differentiate. ID to species level is impossible. "Green Tree Coral" is as good a name as any It will likely do best under moderate to strong lighting, moderate to strong water movement.

Hello,

no I do not think its a Nepthea. I have both species - Nepthea and Sinularia. And it looks more like a Sinularia.
See also here: Sinularia flexibilis

regards

Markus

Hello,

whats "nephia" - if you mean nepthea - yes.
Normally all soft corals are more or less ok to each other: but you could get problems with gorgonians next to softies.

Markus

OK then, Can I keep my "nepthea" next to my candycanes. They are touching now and I see no ill effects on either. But it has only been 2 weeks.
