Question WHY? Help....

Every other day I come home, I have water/salt streaks on the outside of the tank. It is dried up salt stuck to the outside of my tank as if it ran down the glass. Why does this keep happening? How do I stop it?????

THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE

my skimmer does that.
any time that there is water splashing outta the tank in any little way, it will create a little splash. that splash has a little bit of salt water in it, and when the water dries: voila!

otherwise, where is it happening? if its at the seam or bottom, I'd bet you have a slow leak. that means tearing down the tank, and either getting a new one, or re-siliconing your current one

til tomorrow.
if its still alive, it will hopefully be fine. If you do not see it, do not try to find it. it may be hiding. just LEAVE it alone

Current Tank Info: starting over! 125 gallon. Soon to be home to Blackfoot clowns, A. nigripes

Do you have air stones in your tank??? could be the cause.

Could have a leak in the silicone at the top of the trim overlap?

How old is your tank ( the tank it"s self not your set up)

I had a leak on the side of my old tank and this was because of the silicone at the top attached to the platic trim and was cured by lowering the water level and sealing according to the package directions/curing time
