i must say this was a long thread for a nano but it was worth the read, but like at the end of all stories there is bad news, sry for the lose and i had the same thing happin 2 days ago to my 5.5 that was only setup for 2 months but it wasnt the temp that messed up the heater just went pop and cracked the glass, found all livestock on floor but to suprise my hermits made it so they are in my 2.5

Bringing it back

Wow. I was 17 when this thread was started, and now I'm 22. Re-reading it reminded me just how much fun reefkeeping can be. And, in a couple months, I will be setting up this little nano once again. Same tank, same canopy, same lighting system (with a new MH bulb, of course...). I really look forward to it.

Now that I have a job (I'll be working at JPMorgan in Columbus), I'll be able to actually afford some of this equipment, unlike 5 years ago. I'm excited to get started again, and I'm just curious if anyone out there remembers this thread.

I wanted to post now, because I wasn't sure if this thread was going to get deleted for inactivity. I'll start building the tank when I start my job, in the beginning of September.

Climb aboard!

Ben

Well i read maybe half of the thread but had to skip towards the end because I'm to tired to finish reading all 33pages Anyways looks like it was a great tank and i know exactly how you felt i remember when i started i was 14 with no job, i remember doing stuff around the house to buy this and that now 5 years later it's alot different. Anyways found this through the search looking for ideas for my 5.5gal alot of great stuff here, Looking forward to seeing if the tank ever got set up again?

I stumbled on this thread while searching for cheap lighting solutions for my 5 gallon... I've spent the last four hours reviewing the ups and downs of your tank build(s) Well done sir. I wish you had continued posting with the most recent incarnation!

Not sure if this forum is active anymore (looks pretty bare in here) but I'm building another nano, figured I would just continue the post here!

Good for you! This is a blast from the past for me... an era that may just return again in my life. I look forward to your progress.
