I can see them fine. I am wondering if it is a juvenile Vlamingii.

Definitely not a Vlamingii (although that's the most similar looking tang). The spots are dark green instead of blue and are circles instead of angular. Also the head shape isn't right. My tang also has HUGE dark eyes. The coloration is also wrong for a Vlamingii, with a green and purple flank (hard to see in the pic).

Thanks,

Art

That's it!!! Thanks so much.

On liveaquaria she's listed as a Fiji Hump-nose unicorn tang (Naso tonganus).

Ugh. Further searching for the humpnose or spotted unicorn tang found that she also looks very much like a juvenile Naso cf. maculatus. Here's a link to a german site: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...3D10%26hl%3Den.

This is my A. Japonicus Japanese/White Face Tang. I saved him from Deathco. He was horribly covered in ich and is back to beautiful again. He is still in Hypo QT, is eating well and begs like a dog for food everytime I pass by.

This has a handful of tangs in it

Here is a quick shot of 16 of the 18 tangs in the tank.

I will look for some other close ups...

This is a new picture

I skim 4600 gallons per hour and water change 10% every 3-4 weeks. I also run a bunch of phosphate remover. My water quality is not consistant enough to run stonies but my softies and a few LPS do just fine.

I will donate the shark when he gets too big...He is a family favorite.
