Sunpaq/Current replacement ballast wiring question

Howdy - My ballast appears to be dead. I ordered a replacement ballast, figuring it would be the same, its not...

The part no on the old and new ballasts is: APF120-2/55PLL

Old ballast has 2 blue wires going to one lamp and 2 red wires going to the second lamp. (total of 4 wires)

The new ballast has 2 red/2 blue going to one lamp and 2 red/2 blue going to the other lamp.(total of 8 wires)

I plan on treating the double wires as if it was a single and connecting it up like the old ballast. Anyone know if this is correct? Hard to explain in words - I can try to post a picture if anyone thinks that would help.

Not sure, I can say I just replaced mine tonight and it was an 8 wire ballast replacing an 8 wire ballast. on the bulb recepticles one set (4 wires, 2 red and 2 blue) went in each one. How many wires were leading to your recepticle/socket?

I cross posted in the DYI - here is a link that contains the pictures of the ballasts and wiring:

I have 4 wires going to the bulb and 4 wires on the other bulb.
