Cutting waste hose on Trident ?

Has anyone cut the clear waste hose for the trident without having it affect the testing results ? The line is just too long for my location.

Also, can I have the entry of the waste bottle higher than the trident by about 8 inches. Will the trident pump up about 8 inches to waste bottle top ?

Yes you can shorten the waste hose but not recommended as if you cut it and have an issue with the black supply line then you will not be able to use it in an emergency fix on the supply line.

Yes the Trident can pump up waste higher then 8", I have mine doing something similar.
