B/c as it grows the color would not stay as it is.

not only that but my gf has had some in her tank for some time now and looks exactly the same.

The SPS growth is fantastic! I will try and get some growth comparison pics when I am able to take pics of the new corals.

Yes, please do. I am building a 125 as well, and plan to go all t-5's. I like the color your bulb selection is putting out. Does it look like that in person?

how long does it usually take for a ricordia to split? I have one that's been splitting for about 4 months now.

Well I decided to try taking tank pics with the P&S again just because I still don't have a macro lens for my XTi.

The first 5 or so are messed up due to bad editing...sry about that, they looked good b4 I goofed em up...oh well

composition, exposure, etc. are all off. These are for purely to show off coral

Later in the day, after most of the pics a new blue zoa/paly/micromusa rock about the size of 2 fists was added along side a pink tipped elegance coral

There is a pic of the elegance coral at the end....I luv that coral

BEAR: (or anyone):

would you tell me what the green coral is in the front of your tank, by itself, on the sand? I love that coral and have seen them before in RC'ers tanks but never found out what that is.

Just starting out with the corals, myself..

In my tank, I have what DFS.com calls "evergreen starburst polyps" but they are so pale in comparison, I don't think they're the same. I'm running 20k HQI's, and acitinics in an Odyssea hood, and they don't look ANYTHING like that gorgeous green, there.

thanks -

G.

I guess ur talking about my green star polyps on the right...on the left is a green open brain.

There are a few different kinds of GSP, some are more pale and some are more neon, just keep your eyes peeled. I see pale ones all the time, rarely see the neons much in stores now a days...perhaps its just the seasons

ok, that makes sense..

Actually, my brother and his wife got me the starburst polyps as a Christmas gift, having it shipped directly to me. a terrific gift, no matter what it looks like.
So it IS green star polyp, just a nicer specimen -

THanks,

G.
