citrion goby ?

so i have a cirton goby in my tank with a few sps frags and its been doing really well. i bought a new fuzzy green acro frag today and as soon as i put it in the tank it started nipping at it. it never did this to my other coral is this common with this kind of fish i always heard they were considered reef safe. is it a marking territory thing and will it eventually stop. will it picking damage the coral

They are notorious for picking at and laying there eggs in sps corals. I had a yellow clown that picked at my pocillopora til I finally had to remove the coral from the tank. The SPS recovered and has since turned into a nice colony in my 75G.

get that thing out while you still can. i have a friend who made the mistake of putting two in a 300 gallon tank and he has had to remove all of his sps because they were destroying it.

IF he likes that coral he is not going to stop. I would put him in a softy tank only or give him to someone that has one. If you are still trying to get him to eat try live brine at first.
