Question How deep should DSB be and what size sand grains?

I am planning a DSB in a 30 gallon sump for my 55 Gallon tank. How deep should the sand bed be, and what size sand grains would be optimal? Small like sugar grains or should it be a coarser grade?
Thanks!!

Trust me my friend, the names are not important at all. I've own hundreds of different zoas and palys and don't know the name of a single one. In my opinion, they are a waste of valuable time.

you want 4-6 inches and sugar grain sized. Carib sea aragamax works very good...
