Skimmer creating coarse Bubbles from new Please help.

Just trying out my new Octopus NW150 in my sump and the pump seems quite noisy and the bubbles are quite coarse and the flow seems light. Not sure what is going on. Do the pumps need to break in to quiet down??

Any info would be great...Very frustrating. I am using low salinity water..not sure if that makes any difference..wouldn't think so
but I don't know what to think.

Thanks in advance.

How low of salinity? Definetly they wont perform the same in really low SG. Why are you using a low SG?

Mod maniac....You tackle it, I'll get the dremel!

Current Tank Info: 135 RR Oceanic, 65 mixed Reef, mini me's got a 10 Nano

I just grabbed some SW from a water change but topped it off a bit with fresh to test my sump/fuge and the new skimmer. I put more salt water in and the bubbles have fined up. Thanks for the
heads up. Pump is still noisy but I'm hoping that it will quiet down as it breaks in. Been using HOB skimmers so far so didn't know what to expect as far as noise goes.

Thanks for the reply
