Best location for overflow

I'm about to buy a 120g acrylic tank; and I have the option to put the overflow(s) wherever I want (two in the back/corners/sides, or one island overflow). I would like to go with the island overflow simply because of flow within the tank, but it sort of limits my options for aquascaping. Any suggestions?

Depends on wether the sides will be up against a wall. Wherever it goes, get the back drilled (not the bottom) and have the overflow only at the top of the tank, not going all the way down the back. This is much less intrusive. There is no reason an overflow has to take up so much tank space.

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.

I remember when zoanthids were called things like "green" and "orange" and not "reverse gorilla nipple."

Current Tank Info: 180g reef with all the bells and whistles

where the overflows go largely depends on where the tank will sit in your house and how you plan to aquascape it. Personally I would pick the island just b/c its different. Most tanks have the overflows in the corners.
